This is the stuff you hope for… Ten questions to tell the world about what you’re working on, how you see it, and why. Another great author tagged me on this and to participate I have 10 questions to answer, then tag five more great authors to talk about their work in progress! I will be updating this blog as more wonderful writers come to my attention!
What is the working title of your book? At the moment I’m currently between projects. The one I have been working on is tentatively titled Secrets of the Pack. It’s the next in the series that began with ‘Let Sleeping Wolves Lie.’
What genre does your book fall under? Most likely under paranormal romance.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Hmm I have absolutely no idea. I rarely invest in many movies so I’m sadly out of date on actors and actresses outside of a few that make the news for certain exploits.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Love can occur in the most unexpected places or situations.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? I’d love for it to be represented but the first book to this series was done by a publishing company that hasn’t really met my standards and my second unrelated book was self-published. Most likely I will be doing the self-published route again.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? Not as long as I thought it would. I managed to get a working idea together before my back surgery and spent the three months as I recovered working on it every day.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? I would like to see it along the lines of Keri Author’s wonderful Riley Jensen series, though I know mine fall flat. I look to hers as inspiration for my works.
Who or What inspired you to write this book? My family has been a big help. All it takes sometimes is reading something somewhere or hearing something and an idea is sprung from it. My latest book was simply spun from my visit to a castle in the state I live in and I just ended up tweaking the environment from there.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? It’s a romance yet in some places contains some comedy. There is enough suspense, drama and romance to keep anyone that enjoys these kinds of books interested I think.
A fantastic author to check out!
